  • Dr. R. Hardwick, consultant surgeon, Addenbrookes Hospital

    R. Hardwick, is a General Surgeon with a specialist interest in oesophageal (gullet), gastric (stomach), gallbladder and hernia surgery. In addition, he treats patients with obesity. He was Lecturer in Surgery at Bristol Royal Infirmary before moving to Cardiff University Hospital as Senior Lecturer. He relocated to Cambridge in 2001 to establish the Oesophago-gastric Unit there. He performs a wide range of laparoscopic (keyhole) procedures for gallstones, acid reflux (GORD), hiatus hernias, obesity and hernias.  
  • Dr. D.L. (Doranne) Hilarius, Ziekenhuisapotheker Rode Kruis Ziekenhuis

    Doranne Hilarius is sinds 2007 ziekenhuisapotheker in het Rode Kruis Ziekenhuis in Beverwijk en vanaf 2009 ook medisch manager van de afdeling. Doranne was vice-voorzitter van het Dagelijks Bestuur van de Medische Staf en was lid van de Raad van Bestuur als Bestuurder Medische Zaken.  
  • Dr. A.L. (Andrea) Pusic, MD, MHS, FRCSC, plastic & Reconstructive Surgeon

    Andrea Pusic is a surgeon who specializes in reconstruction after cancer surgery. She has a strong interest in breast reconstruction and performs a wide range of techniques, including DIEP flaps and ‘direct to implant’ surgery. She is also involved in a number of advocacy, outreach, and education initiatives for breast cancer survivors.
  • Prof.dr.T. (Tony) Rudd, stroke consultant at St Thomas’ Hospital London UK

    Professor Tony Rudd is a Stroke Consultant at St Thomas’ Hospital London UK, the National Clinical Director for Stroke with NHS England and the London Stroke Clinical Director. He is Professor of Stroke Medicine at Kings College London and chairs the group at the Royal College of Physicians, London which has been responsible for developing the National Clinical Guidelines for Stroke and running the National Sentinel Stroke Audit programme over the last 22 years. He chaired the NICE Guidelines Group for Acute Stroke and TIA and the NICE Stroke Quality Standards Development Group. His research interests are stroke rehabilitation, organisation of care and quality improvement and he has over 300 peer reviewed publications. He is a past president of the British Association of Stroke Physicians and is Hon Vice President of the Stroke Association. He was made a CBE in the Queens Birthday Honours list in 2013.
  • Prof. dr. S. (Sabine) Siesling, bestuurslid NBCA, epidemioloog IKNL, professor Universiteit Twente

    Proffesor Sabine Siesling. I am a clinical epidemiologist and focus on quality of care (breast cancer and rare cancers). I am IKNL-projectleader of the Cancer Information Centre IKNL, the NABON breast cancer audit, the Netherlands Breast Cancer project (NBCP) and the field research of the KWF SCK.
    I am also involved in international projects (RARACARENET, EUROCARE, CONCORD-2), and I am a board member of several boards (the Netherlands Epidemiology Society, the FEDERA, COREON, European Network of Cancer Registries (ENCR)) and I am general secretary of the International Association of Cancer Registries (IACR).

  • Dr. M.T.F.D (Marie-Jeanne) Vrancken Peeters, borstkanker chirurg Antoni van Leeuwenhoek

    Marie-Jeanne Vrancken Peeters is a surgical oncologist since 2002, specialized in breast cancer surgery in the Antoni van Leeuwenhoek in Amsterdam. As a clinical researcher, she focuses on: neoadjuvant chemotherapy (MARI procedure and MICRA trial); localization techniques and quality of care of breast cancer patients in the Netherlands. She is (co)-author of over 100 peer reviewed papers (www.researchgate.net). She is the co-author of the Breast Cancer Book, Thoeris Publishing House, and is a regular reviewer for several journals. From 2008-2012, she was board member of the Dutch Association of Surgeons, responsible for ‘Quality of Care’; she developed a new quality program consisting of standardization, certification and auditing. Since 2011 she is board member of Dutch Institute of Clinical Auditing (www.dica.nl) and of the Dutch NABON Breast Cancer Audit (NBCA). Since 2017 she is the president of the NBCA and board member of the NABON. Furthermore she is a member of the international BCC Audit Network since 2014 and she has been a member of the breast cancer working group of the ICHOM (International Consortium for Health Care Outcome Measures) in 2016. In 2013 she was co-founder of the Dutch Working group of Breast Cancer Surgeons, where she is the chief of quality of care. Since nov 2016 she is a member of the executive committee the Dutch institute for breast cancer screening of the National Institute for Public Health. Since april 2018 she is board member of the medical staff of the Antoni van Leeuwenhoek and board member of the Amsterdam IKNL Breast Cancer Group. Furthermore she is a member of the Dutch Association of Surgeons (NVVH), the Dutch Association of Surgical Oncology (NVCO), the European Society of Surgical Oncology (ESSO), the European Society of Mastology (EUSOMA), the Society of Surgical Oncology (SSO) and the EORTC Breast Cancer Group (EORTC BCG).  
  • Dr. M.W.J.M. (Michel) Wouters, hoofd wetenschappelijk bureau DICA

    Michel Wouters is werkzaam in het Antoni van Leeuwenhoek als chirurg. Hij is gespecialiseerd in de behandeling van melanoom en longkanker. Daarnaast is hij voorzitter van de CIK-commissie (Commissie Indicatoren en Kwaliteitsregistratie) binnen het Antoni van Leeuwenhoek en zet hij zich ook in om de kwaliteit die het ziekenhuis levert zichtbaar te maken, onder andere via de website. Verder is hij voorzitter van Stichting Oncologische Samenwerking (SONCOS), een organisatie die alle medisch specialisten betrokken bij de oncologie in Nederland vertegenwoordigd. SONCOS stelt onder andere de kwaliteitsnormen op waar ziekenhuizen aan moeten voldoen om optimale oncologische zorg te kunnen verlenen. Ook is hij mede-oprichter en hoofd van het wetenschappelijk bureau van DICA (Dutch Institute for Clinical Auditing), de organisatie in Nederland die de kwaliteit van zorg in Nederlandse ziekenhuizen evalueert, spiegelinformatie geeft aan zorgverleners om die kwaliteit te kunnen verbeteren en deze transparant maakt richting de overheid, zorgverzekeraars, patiëntenorganisaties en publiek.
